The painting "Harvest" is a work by the artist Ivan Mrkvichka. Born in the Austrian Empire, Ivan Mrkvichka left a notable legacy in Bulgarian post-liberation art. At the age of 25, he arrived in Plovdiv to teach drawing. Apart from his main activity as a teacher, he bequeathed to us a priceless cultural heritage, symbolizing his immense love for Bulgaria. He mainly focused on the rural domestic painting, but also participated in the development of almost all painting genres - portrait, historical, landscape, still life.
